Welding is a process that permanently joins two separate components into one by heating or pressing to create atomic bonding. It is mainly divided into three categories: fusion welding, pressure welding and brazing.
Fusion welding forms weld joints through heating and cooling, including shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, submerged arc welding, plasma arc welding, laser welding and electron beam welding.
As the name suggests, pressure welding joins workpieces primarily by applying external pressure. Its common types include resistance welding, friction welding, ultrasonic welding and explosive welding.
Brazing is a joining method that uses filler metals with a melting point lower than that of the base material. The filler melts and fills the joint gap, which falls into two main types: soft soldering and hard brazing.
EHSS is equipped with advanced manufacturing facilities and proficient in state-of-the-art welding technologies such as submerged arc welding machines and CO₂ gas shielded welding. Our welds meet Class 1 standard, the highest quality grade for steel structure welds, which has passed stringent inspections on appearance, internal defects and non-destructive testing.
EN ISO 3834, formally titled Quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials, is an international standard dedicated to welding quality management. EHSS has obtained the certification of ISO 3834-2 (Comprehensive quality requirements), fully complying with the requirements of the EU market. We adopt high-standard welding procedures to deliver steel structures with superior quality, safety and reliability.
