Jinkou Kindergarten is the first prefabricated steel-structure building constructed under the EPC general contracting model in Jimo District, undertaken by Qingdao Eihe Steel Structure Group Co., Ltd. Located in Jinkou Town of Jimo District, east of Provincial Highway S212 and north of Zhoutuan Primary School, the project has a total construction area of 3254.33 ㎡, including 3022.3 ㎡ above-ground area and 232 ㎡ underground area. It consists of a three-story teaching and office building, a gatehouse and an independent underground fire-fighting water tank.
The project adopts an integral steel-frame structural system. Thermal-insulation integrated reinforced concrete panels are used for external walls, while ALC panels are applied for internal walls. The individual-building prefabrication rate reaches 77%. It is constructed in compliance with the standards for township central kindergartens specified in Shandong Provincial Basic Operation Standards for Kindergartens.
During project implementation, Qingdao Residential Industry Modernization Administration Office and Jimo District Urban-Rural Development Bureau jointly organized an expert review meeting for the prefabricated construction scheme, design drawings and prefabrication rate. Leaders including Shan Suxin, Deputy Director of the Residential Office under Qingdao Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and Wang Guohua, Deputy Director of Jimo District Construction Management Office attended the meeting. All parties had in-depth discussions on topics such as technical application of prefabricated buildings, project quality and safety control, which provided solid guarantees for the smooth implementation of the project.
Upon completion acceptance of the project, the acceptance group conducted a detailed inspection on the detailed construction works and a comprehensive review of the as-built documents. It was confirmed that the project featured favorable overall construction appearance with complete documents, satisfying acceptance conditions, and the project was unanimously approved for acceptance.
