Customized Container Homes refer to non-standardized residential buildings that are transformed from used or brand-new shipping containers through our Chinese factories. They are container houses that exclusively meet the individual needs of users while ensuring structural safety and compliance with regulations.

● Structural combination: Users can choose to combine multiple containers according to their own needs. They can be connected to each other or stacked.

● Space layout: For the combination of multiple container spaces, the internal partitions can be fully planned according to requirements. They can be open lofts or multi-bedroom residences.

● Building appearance: The exterior materials can retain the original industrial corrugated sheet style, or be covered with wood, metal plates, cement fiber boards, etc., integrating with the surrounding environment. The position of doors and windows, and the roof form can all be customized.

● Short production cycle: The main structure of the Customized Container Homes is made from standard shipping containers. Our factory needs to carry out secondary renovations and decorations on them, which saves manufacturing costs and time.

Containers of Hope

This second-hand container-based mobile home project, named Containers of Hope, is located in San José, Costa Rica. It was designed by architect Benjamin García Sáez.

The entire building covers an area of 1,000 square feet and is composed of two 40-foot used containers and a central connecting area. The connecting area also features a beautiful skylight.This design offers a concept for 21st-century housing design: using discarded items like shipping containers to create beautiful, comfortable, and affordable housing. This design has also attracted widespread interest because, on the one hand, it can effectively solve the problem of how to deal with a large number of discarded shipping containers in developing countries, and on the other hand, it can also address the huge financial burden faced by first-time homebuyers.

How to choose the container type?

There are two standard sizes for shipping containers, namely 20-foot and 40-foot. Our Customized Container Homes type recommendations for users are as follows:

● For single-story small-sized apartments: The 20-foot GP model is economical and practical, and it is convenient for transportation and hoisting.

● For the main living area: The 40-foot HC height offers significant advantages (with an internal height of approximately 2.7 meters), which can reduce the sense of oppression and facilitate the installation of ceilings and the integration of pipelines.
