The containers are made of weather-resistant steel, which has high toughness and strength and a stronger load-bearing capacity. The size of the containers can be 20 feet or 40 feet. If the budget is not high or you want to achieve recycling, you can choose to use second-hand containers.

1.Can multiple containers be connected together? Can the partitions in the middle be removed?

The overall steel frame of the container bears all the load-bearing capacity. Multiple containers can be connected to each other, and then the steel plates in the middle can be cut to form a wide and spacious area. This also enables the entire container guesthouse to be interconnected and have no difference from other residential buildings.

2. How long does this type of house last? How can its lifespan be extended?

The design service life is usually 30 to 50 years. After converting a container into a building, by thoroughly removing rust, applying anti-rust primer and topcoat, the lifespan will be significantly extended.

Regular maintenance is required: Just like wooden structures need pest control and concrete needs to be patched, containers need to have their coatings inspected every 3 to 5 years, especially at the areas of cutting and welding. Reapply paint in time to prevent rusting.

3. How good is the sound insulation when living inside? Can sounds from the next room be heard?

It depends on the renovation process. Professional sound insulation solutions include: walls (filled with sound insulation cotton + double-layer gypsum board/wood veneer), floors (floating sound insulation layer + sound insulation pads), and doors and windows (using double-glazed glass). If these are well implemented, the sound insulation effect is no less than that of traditional hotels.
